The Chairman of the Military Industrialization Authority, Engineer Mustafa Ati Hassan, met with members of the Coordination Committee, which includes representatives from the Ministries of Defense and Interior, the Popular Mobilization Forces, and other security agencies, on Wednesday, May 3, 2023.
During the meeting, he reviewed the most significant obstacles hindering the completion of development projects for Iraqi military industries. He also provided a summary of the latest developments at the Military Industrialization Authority's factories and production lines, particularly those lines scheduled to become operational in the near future.
Following the meeting, the Chairman, accompanied by the Coordination Committee, toured several factories, along with the Director General of the General Company for Military Industries and a group of senior staff. The tour aimed to brief the members of the Coordination Committee on the progress of newly established production projects, including the light and medium ammunition production lines that recently arrived in Iraq, the mortar shell production project, and infrastructure rehabilitation projects at several factories.
For their part, the members of the Coordination Committee commended the exceptional efforts exerted by the Chairman of the Authority and the engineering and technical staff in the Authority's formations and factories. They expressed their appreciation for the diligent work that demonstrates the Authority's leadership and staff's commitment to advancing the Iraqi military industry, localizing global military technology, and reducing reliance on imports. They affirmed their support for these efforts, which contribute to supporting the security and military forces and strengthening the national economy.
